Change design of arrows in TabbedPane with SCROLL_TAB_LAYOUT

Postby Endogen » Sat Feb 01, 2014 8:04 pm

When i create a WebTabbedPane with the LayoutPolicy "WebTabbedPane.SCROLL_TAB_LAYOUT" and i have to much tabs that are not all visible, then there appear two arrow buttons with which i can navigate the tabs. These two buttons are everything else then pretty in my opinion :o ;)

Maybe it's possible to center them vertically and give them the grouped button design? Or something like that...

Code: Select all
public class WebTabbedPaneScrollingTest extends WebFrame {

    public static void main(String[] args) {
        SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
            public void run() {
                new WebTabbedPaneScrollingTest().setVisible(true);

    public WebTabbedPaneScrollingTest() {
        WebTabbedPane tabbedPane = new WebTabbedPane();
        tabbedPane.addTab("THIS IS A TEST1", null);
        tabbedPane.addTab("THIS IS A TEST2", null);
        tabbedPane.addTab("THIS IS A TEST3", null);
        tabbedPane.addTab("THIS IS A TEST4", null);

        setPreferredSize(new Dimension(300,400));

Those buttons are not yet styled and look ugly indeed.
I will fix this together with renewing tabbed pane UI and adding painter support.
This is a planned change and will surely be added in next few large updates.
