[ADDED] WebocumentPane: save/restore state

Postby petermacgonagan » Sun Sep 07, 2014 7:50 pm

Hello :),

I'm trying to save and restore the workspace of my software.

Could you tell me if there is an easy way to save the layout of panels in a WebDocumentPane, please?
I know it's a tree structure. I know that WebDocumentPane is not supported by SettingsManager.

Thank you!

I am aware that there is no simple way to save and restore it yet, there will be a way in v1.29. I will add both - SettingsManager (SettingsProcessor) support and methods to manually retrieve/set state. But make sure to add all documents before restoring the settings, otherwise they won't be fully applied since those settings will only keep information about documents placement within the WebDocumentPane and nothing else.

There will also be some improvements to WebDocumentPane like its view updates according to DocumentData modifications, additional tab customizer and smart document selection listener.

I have added this feature into source code.
It will be available in v1.29 update.

I will also update pre-release v1.29 artifacts a bit later here:
http://weblookandfeel.com/downloads/prerelease/
So you might want to try those out.
