WebPopUp modal background feature

It´s nice to have the feature that blanks the screen when a pop up it´s modal, but would be nice if that feature it´s optional, often you need to select something in a pop up that depends on data in the form so you need to see whats is going on.

How exactly do you show popup window?

There are two base options now - show simple or modal popup.
You can use simple one to get rid of modal shading feature...

Anyway, popups are in early alpha at the moment - i am still not sure how to improve their behavior so they will become obvious and simple to use.

Yes, i´m using simple now... but what I meant it´s to have a functionality that behave like modal but looks like simple without blanking screen.

Code: Select all
PopupManager.showPopup ( this, popup);

Well, usually if you need to show some popup over a form (that contains some of form settings for example) you use non-modal popup that closes when it loses focus. In that case it doesn't block form fields and will hide as soon as user switches to something else.

There is such an option in popup but it seems there are still some bugs present. I will investigate and fix them in next few updates.
